Textile machines
In textile machines, minute fibre particles can increase abrasive wear
by several orders of magnitude. BALINIT® combines high hardness with a
smooth surface, making it the ideal wear protection for such components
as the weft clamps of looms, yarn guides, grippers and cutting edges.
Weft clamps
Formerly, borated steel components were used for the weft clamps of
gripper looms. However, the relatively rough surface that this
treatment produces leads to unfavourable operational behaviour.
The coating with BALINIT® CNI combines high hardness and wear
resistance with a smooth surface, so that the yarn is reliably clamped.
